Good
Morning Rod,
I'm not sure we ever said Thank You for sending us the link for
the webcam. My internet program has just determined that the
webcam is the #1 most visited site by my computer...lol. We very
much enjoy being able to see what the puppies are doing,
so...Thanks so much!!!
Joe's mom just gave us a call and told us that her Rotty pups
just opened their eyes yesterday and we were wondering if
Bella's eyes were open yet. The puppies seem to be locating
Keiko a lil bit faster than normal and thought that maybe that
was due to the gift of sight :-).
Well, guess we will let you get back to the more pressing issues
around the farm. We hope all is well with you and your family!!
Thanks,
Ashley and Joe

My husband wants to know if there is a support group or a toll
free number for those addicted to the puppy cam. He said I am
an addict ... I told him it was better than crack, so count his
blessings.
I may be crazy, but I swear they have plumped up since the first
day I started spying on them. They are total butterballs!

Phil & Bonnie
Austin, TX
Hi Rod,
Phil & I want to "THANK YOU" again for
everything you have done to help us welcome Layla to our family.
Your "Texaz Silvers Kennel" web site is so
informative and has so many GREAT pictures of all your labs. I
found myself always going back to Layla's picture and with your
help it was easy to decide that she should become a member of
our family.
After arriving home, Layla quickly found
her spot on the sofa and took her 1st nap. She loves our back
yard & already gets in the pool.
THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!

Vickie, Rachel and Julia with
Finn New
Mexico

Rod:
We can't thank you enough for Finn! He is a wonderful
addition to our family! I want to thank you for all your
time and help, and for the countless phone conversations we
had while we were waiting for Finn! You were so helpful
with all the details, including the shipping. We were so
nervous to have him shipped to us. You made everything
easy. When his flight was delayed, you called the airline
and checked to make sure he was ok. We couldn't have asked
for more. Thank you for everything!!
When Finn arrived (5 hours delayed), we were so happy to see
him. He was even more handsome in person. It didn't take
him long to make our house his home! He immediately took to
Thatcher, our 5 year old chocolate lab. He is always at
Thatcher's side, the two of them are inseparable and
Thatcher is always watching over Finn. When Finn arrived in
May, he weighted 12.5 pounds. We weighted him last week and
he is over 50 pounds. It is amazing how much he has grown
and changed this summer. He is so awesome and smart. He
graduated from beginner class two weeks ago and will be
starting intermediate class in a few weeks. He knows all of
his basic commands and learned them very quickly. We are so
proud.
He loves the water and camping. He has made himself at home
in our camper and is such a trooper. We travels well in the
car and is always ready to go on an outing. He has a small
pool in the backyard and is in the water all the time. He
loves our garden and has eaten all out tomatoes and
peppers. He did leave a few for us, but not many... Thank
you so much for such an awesome dog!!
I attached a picture of Finn and Julia on the day we got
him, one a few days later and some pictures I took
yesterday. It is amazing how much he has changed in such a
short time. Please feel free to use them on your website if
you want. We think he is so very handsome.
Thanks!

UPDATE - Jan 09, 2010
Rod:
Well, Finn enjoyed his first Christmas. He received a lot
of toys and was quick to remove all the stuffing from
them....
As you can see, he has gotten very big, weighing in at over
90 pounds. I have included a picture of Finn and Julia and
as you can see, he is bigger than Julia now!! He thought
that Christmas morning was just for him and was in the
middle of it all. As you can tell, he tired himself out
after a morning of presents and treats.
Seriously, he is getting very big and has a beautiful coat.
He is full of energy and walks very good on the leash. He
loves to ride in the car and go on outings. He is always
with Thatcher and even sleeps with him. Finn is right at
home!! Just wanted to let you know how he is doing and send
some updated pictures.
Take care and Happy New Year!

Joe, Tiffany with Sterling

Rod,
Sorry for the delay getting back to you.
Sterling is happy and healthy. The two most important things.
He is now sitting and learning some tricks. Here is one of
Sterling's first photoshoots.
He is so cute and everybody stops us to
ask about him. He will be heading to Aspen, Colorado soon for
the fall season. Sterling is also going to be traveling through
the grand canyon
and havasu falls soon.
Rod thank you so much
for everything and getting us the greatest dog of all time
Joe, Tiffany, and Sterling

Keith, Beth & Anastasia with SAM
Little Elm, TX

Hi Rod,
Just wanted to let you know that Sam is
doing great. He has a ton of energy and is on the go a lot, but
when he crashes, he crashes hard and immediately falls asleep.
Here is a photo I took of him today. You think he is liking
his new home?!
All of our friends and family think he is
just GORGEOUS and you were right when you said he has a great
personality. He is so lovable and sweet.
He is getting along great with Captain
Ron. Ron gets lots of surprise attacks from Sam but Ron is very
gentle with Sam when they play together. They are very
entertaining to watch especially when they play tug-of-war.
Thank you so much for letting us adopt
this precious baby.
Take care,
Keith, Beth
and Anastasia Little Elm, TX
Joye and Jeff with Molly

We just wanted to thank you again for the outstanding care
that you take not only with your dogs, but with the adoptive
families as well!
We appreciated the regular updates
on Molly's progress, the photos, and certainly all of the
information regarding food, vitamins, etc., for her to have
a long and healthy life!
Hands down, our Molly Belle is the
most unique and beautiful dog in the neighborhood...but of
course, we're a little biased!
She's growing
incredibly fast, and makes us laugh daily! We are educating
everyone about Texaz Silvers, and how truly gorgeous your
dogs really are.
Thanks again, Joye and Jeff

Ashley & Joe with Bella

Hi Rod,
Bella is now 14 weeks and its amazing to
see just how much she has grown in the short time we've had her.
I can honestly say that she is an extremely quick learner and
that has made training so much easier on us.
She has truly become a WATER DOG, as it is
now hard to keep her out of it! I think she has been swimming
almost every weekend for the past four weeks. She is such a
curious dog and is very rarely scared by many things.
Took her to Petsmart for the first time
yesterday she absolutely loved it, and of course we are still
getting compliments on how beautiful her color is, and what an
all around gorgeous dog she is!! : ), its always nice to hear
people compliment on her and of course that's all thanks to
YOU!! Now that she has had all her shots we are really looking
forward to being able to take her to more places, so we will
definitely keep you updated on how those trips go.
Actually when we were
at Petsmart signing her up for puppy classes we saw a chocolate
lab who was about 3 1/2 weeks older than Bella and it was
interesting to see how different Bella's body structure was
compared to that of the chocolate. The chocolate was very lean
and although a little taller than Bella she still didnt have the
muscular build
or even as big a head as she has. All we could think was hey we
got a good puppy!!!
Attaching some
pictures for you some are from several weeks back, they actually
are from oldest to most recent just so you can see the change.
Hope you like them.
~Ashley and
Joe

Jordan and
Sarah with DUKE Killeen, TX

Hey Rod!
Good to hear from you! I can't tell you
enough how happy Sarah and I are with Duke! I'm sure you hear
that sort of thing all the time though!! Sorry for the late
reply but I did take some really good pictures of him about a
month ago....enjoy!
Jordan and Sarah

Sara & Aaron with Maggie

Rod,
We wanted to tell you how thankful we are
for our Maggie (Katy's first litter). She has brought such joy
to our home!!! She is more beautiful in person then we ever
imagined! She is already adored by all of the neighbors and
gets comments everywhere we go.
When we first decided we were ready for a
puppy, we began searching the web for breeders. Once we came
upon Texaz Silvers Kennel, we knew we had found our breeder.
You put so much effort and time into your puppies, and it shows
in our Maggie Moo! I am sure that we called and emailed you a
million times with questions and you immediately answered us
with even the silliest ones. I even forgot to take her papers
with me to our first visit to the vet and when we called you,
you were instantly available to give us all of the information
on the spot. You have been wonderful to us and it shows that
you are an amazing breeder that truly loves and cares for your
puppies.
We were very concerned about shipping
Maggie instead of driving to get her. You helped us to see that
the 1 1/2 hour flight would be much less stressful that a 12
hour car ride. We picked her up from the airport and she had a
great flight. From that moment, she has stolen our hearts!
Maggie is doing so well! She walks on a
leash like she was born with it. She LOVES children so much!
She came to Field Day at my school and did AMAZINGLY WELL with
my kindergardeners!! She loves to play, play, play! You were
right...she goes 0 to 60 and then takes a nap! :) We have 2
cats and can't decide whether she is trying to eat them or play
with them! We are pretty sure it's the latter- only time will
tell... ;) We can't imagine life without her!
Thanks for everything! We couldn't have
asked for a better experience!
Sara and Aaron

Melissa & Major Dublin,

Major Dublin has settled amazingly well
into our household. We were prepared for a lot of whining and
fussing the first night but there was ZERO. He slept in his
crate next to the couch where I was sleeping and the only time I
even heard a tiny whimper was when he needed to go potty. He did
his business and went right back to sleep. We were amazed! House
training is going wonderfully well. I am not sure if it is us
who are training him or Major who is training us. Whichever the
case, we are all doing a good job. We have been very consistent
and we have only had two accidents in the house that were a
result of us not paying close enough attention.
I just cannot
tell you how much we adore our little furry guy. We prepared and
waited for him for so long, and he has truly been a blessing to
our family. As you can imagine, the kids are head over heels in
love with him.
Aside from helping us add an amazing
addition to our family, I truly want to thank you for being a
wonderful breeder.
As you know from my million and one
questions, this was not something we entered into lightly. I
“interviewed” a lot of breeders over the phone and you always
stood out as top notch from the get go. You were always so
patient with my inquisitions and went above and beyond when
answering me. The fact that you not only agreed to let us visit
your kennels before we put a deposit down, but did so happily
while also entertaining our kiddos and us speaks volumes for the
type of business you run. It also speaks volumes for the type of
people you and your wife are. We enjoyed our time with you and
drove away knowing all my research paid off…we found the best.
After Major was born, you kept us in the loop not only with the
incredibly
ADDICTIVE PUPPY CAM, but also with updates and
pictures. We literally got to see our Major from his first
seconds after birth until the day we picked him up.
I
know we will get some comments about the fact we have a silver
lab from some who really should keep their comments to
themselves. But you know what? I cannot wait to tell anyone bold
enough to approach me that we got Major form the best. I cannot
wait to tell them that our breeder it committed to improving the
silver line and is constantly researching all that goes into
doing so.
I will tell them that our breeder could push out
litter after litter of silver labs to make money, but instead,
he is taking the time and putting forth the effort (and the
money) to only breed the best. Again, Rod, your actions speak so
well for the type of breeder that I hope everyone would use.
You know we will be in touch, sending
pictures like the obnoxious proud parents we are. And when Major
Dublin wins his first Field Trial, we will invite you to the
party. He is actually already doing great and has taken to the
“fetch it up” command with his stuffed ducky. He is a smart one,
I tell you!
Keep in touch!
Melissa
UPDATE - July 18, 2009

Had to show you this picture we took on
vacation. Major is just getting HUGE!
If
you want to use this for our testimonial picture, I would
approve...lol. I like it so much better than the previous one.
I will send you some
more pictures from our trip. The swimming hole you see behind
the kids was literally in our back yard. It was SO nice.
let me go send a few more. :-)

Curtis, Karlyn, Katrina and Keri Thomas,
Ketchikan -Alaska

Just wanted to say thanks to Rod at Texaz
Silvers!
Our family wanted two Silver factored lab
puppies delivered to Alaska just as school got out so our two girls (8 &10)
would have the summer to play with them. Rod was amazing with his
willingness to accommodate our needs and make the puppy buying process a
true joy for our girls.
Rod sent email updates, many photos and slide
shows, and jumped through a few hoops to make this complex transaction go
off without a hitch. Thank you Texaz Silvers for two great puppies; but
more importantly, thank you Rod for going the extra mile as a breeder.
UPDATE - November 11, 08

Dear Rod,
Hello, from the Thomas family. Bailey and Macy are doing well. They fit
into our family like they have always been here. Bailey is over 60 pounds
and Macy close to 60 pounds.
The pups are
hard to call "puppies" anymore! Our friends call them small horses!
The potty training is done, but the chewing has been fierce. We know that
they are just going through a stage. It looks like it is still nice there
in Texas.
Your new pups
are beautiful. The girls were sighing over your puppy pictures!
Sincerely,
Karlyn, Curt, Katrina and Keri Thomas

Barry M. with Samson and Delilah,
Dripping
Springs, TX

It didn't
take long for Samson and Delilah to make themselves at home. They love
to play tug-o-war with the rope toys. Delilah always likes to snuggle,
but Samson likes to stretch out alone on the cool floor when he's tired.
Yesterday, we
put a tennis ball in a little basin of water and Samson immediately jumped
in, grabbed the ball and jumped out.
At 7 weeks,
he's already jumping into water to fetch! Can't get enough of them.
UPDATE - April 08, 09
.jpg)
Hi Rod,
We wanted to send the latest pics of Samson and
Delilah as they reach their first birthday. They like to wait
below the deer feeder to be first to eat the deer corn. And,
Delilah has found a way to coexist with the deer nearby.
Samson is now 105 lbs. and Delilah is 75 lbs
Laura and Barry

Darren & Denton Huff with Mamie

Just wanted to let you know how our little girl is
doing.
Mamie made the five hour trip home like a
pro. She is doing well with house training,
fetching sometimes and she knows her name already too.
Our youngest son, Denton (the one you met), and Mamie
are almost inseparable.
Even our sixteen year
old is taken with her and all he thinks about it
football and driving! Darren is talking baby talk to
her....she'll be ruined! She is a huge hit with all of
our friends too.
I'm the only owner of a silver
lab in our neighborhood and I like that!
We want
to thank you for our buying experience! Having a new
picture to look at each week really made the wait easier
for us.
We also appreciate that you had her
micro-chipped and her first round of shots, dog food for
the trip home, where to buy the food etc taken care
of when we picked her up. We know she was well cared
for and we couldn't be happier with our girl.
Thanks for the care you give to your puppies. I really
appreciate you checking in to see how she's doing! It
seems like an adoption instead of a business
transaction. I'll take some pictures this weekend for
you; she has grown so much in two weeks!
UPDATE - June 12, 2009

I had to send you an update and some pictures. I read a
testimonial about Major Dublin and he sounds great; I just
don't think he can be as smart and cute as Mamie (jk). They
must be related!
Mamie is house broken, she sits and goes down and will stay
for us. She's working on some other commands and really
catches on fast. She even puts herself in her kennel when
she's tired!
I think I told you we live on a lake and Mamie loves to go
for a swim and fetch. As soon as our boat is ready she'll be
with us there too. I just can't believe how good she is.
By the way, she weighed 27 pounds at the vet on June 8th and
you can see she isn't a bit fat. He thinks she'll be close
to 90 when she's full grown. If gas keeps going up we can
just ride her to work! I hope the other new owners will keep
sending you updates; they all seem as happy as we are.
Thanks again.

Lindsay & Daphni, Phoenix, Arizona

Here she is my big girl!
She is doing very great. I just wanted you to have a picture of
her. She is doing great! (well other then the digging)...
Thank
you for all your hard work in helping me get her. You and your
family were great to work with.
She
played ball today in the park and retrieved the ball like a big
girl! It was great!
Sincerely, Lindsay

Lowell and Tess,
San Antonio, TX

I cannot
thank you enough for putting all the hard work and effort into breeding your
dogs so someone like me can have the opportunity to get such a beautiful and
wonderful animal.
Lowell
UPDATE - June 23, 08
Tess is doing
great! She is SO SMART! She is learning very quickly, and she is so easy to
train. I cannot believe how mild tempered she is.. Anyways, my family and I
cannot thank you and your family enough for Tess. We love her!
Lowell
UPDATE - October 7, 08

I just
wanted to give you guys a quick update on how we are doing. As you can
see from the pictures, Tess is growing into a beautiful dog. She
continues to impress everyone on how well behaved, mild tempered, and
intelligent she is.
I was
finally able to take her dove hunting this past weekend. All though the
birds did not show up, Tess did great for her first time out in the
field! She stayed right beside me. She was enthusiastic and attentive
about the situation the entire time.
She
followed my commands perfectly. The only thing that would have made
it better was if she would have been able to retrieve her first dead bird.
That was not any fault of hers though. We only saw about six to
eight birds, and we only fired our guns twice. I am embarrassed to
admit that my buddy and I both missed.
My
friend brought along his seasoned white 4 year-old female lab, and even he
was astonished on Tess's intelligence and demeanor.
She is an awesome
dog! My family and I get so much enjoyment from her! I cannot brag
enough on Tess. Thank you again for allowing me to receive such a great
hunting partner from you.
Lowell
UPDATE - August 9, 09

Hello again Rod. First let me apologize
for not giving you any response or updates until now. Every time
I have thought about it, something comes up. I hope all is well
for you and your family, especially with the lack of rain and
this economy. We are all doing fine down here in San Antonio,
especially Tess.
I don't even know where to begin to
explain how proud I am to have Tess and the joy she has brought
to me and my family. She is by far the best dog I have ever had.
She begs to retrieve and LOVES the water. I can't wait to take
her out during this year's hunting season. She continues to
surprise me with her intelligence and ability. She is a
beautiful dog, and so smart, and oh so fast! She is also very
sweet. My six year old son and her play all the time. Sometimes
he can get a little rough with Tess, but instead of getting
rough back, Tess just keeps on playing. They love each other.
Here are some pics of
her and her with my son. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Thanks again for everything you and your family do to give
people an opportunity to have such great and wonderful dogs.
A quick little story
for you: We
went down to the beach this summer in Port Aransas, and of
course we took Tess along with us. You need to warn everybody
that a silver lab has celebrity status on the beach. I cannot
tell you how MANY people stopped by our spot because of Tess.
There were even more people that stared as they walked by. This
happened all day long.
The next morning, I
woke up and took Tess out for a walk and to let her do her
morning business. I am standing there, and this car goes. Once
again, the people are staring at Tess. I remember seeing them
the previous day. About a thirty seconds later the same car
comes back by. This time they stop.
The lady that gets out
starts asking me all kinds of questions about Tess: What kind of
dog is she? Where did I get her from? How old is she? Come to
find out - the reason she stopped was because she wanted to make
sure that Tess was a silver lab because she had not seen one in
person and just put down her deposit for a charcoal puppy with
Lance and Kellyn. What a small world!
Lowell

Anna & Tony Russo, New York

Dear Rod,
It all
started when I was surfing the internet, looking for a Labrador puppy and
then out of hundreds of pictures I saw him!! He shined so beautifully, so
fine, so perfect… I just had to have him. no matter what!
I contacted
you the next day just to have a bigger surprise, I ran into a wonderful
breeder that has the real patience of making the breed excellent to
perfection and I can wholeheartedly say.
You are doing
magic! You are a breeder who understands a persons needs and you do your
best to match the dog to their life style, and that what brought me right
there!
I consider
myself a lucky person to have my dog through your farm. Dealing with you was
a real pleasure in each step of the way, starting from your updated e-mails
through pictures of all stages ending up with the most perfect creation, one
of your beautiful pups!
Thank you so
much Rod. Juno is one of a kind. He is so smart and such a quick learner,
so kind with the kids and so protective exactly when needed, he is just the
perfect match!
Thank you so much for your kindness, your
reliability, and most of all for make our dream come through.

UPDATE - January 17, 09

Hi Rod,
Its so wonderful to hear from you, and all that great news about
the wonderful additions that's going to be in your farm... you
got me really excited, can’t wait to see them.
I'm visiting your website very
often, just to see some of your beautiful recent deliveries,
And oh boy I tell you, they are
just beyond words to describe!
Juno is doing wonderful.. he is
so playful and naughty... he is just unbelievable.
We still experience some house
breaking here and there, but that's very understandable because
its a frowzy winter and he doesn't hang around outside as much
as he use to in the summer, so he gets board from time to time
and taking revenge on the kids toys...(lol).
But he is our dear, and we love
him very very much!
Rod, I am sending you some
pictures but believe me when I say they are PALE next to how
gorgeous he really is! He is the most beautiful lab I have ever
seen in my whole life, and its not because he is mine, everyone
thinks the same. not only that but he is also the best watch dog
ever, and he hasn't even been trained to do that, I guess he is
a natural born bodyguard.
Rod, having Juno from you was the
best pick in my life (after Tony of course....lol) he is all I
could wish my dog to be!!

Jimmy L. and Thumper, Houston, TX

"Well we made it home this afternoon. My girls love him, of course.
I have
to tell you he is the brightest, fastest learning pup I have ever owned. He
already comes when called, walks very well on a leash, can climb up and down
stairs.
I am pretty amazed. I will send ya pics and updates as we go. Thanks
again,
Jimmy

Jackie H. and Charlie, Albuquerque, N. M.

I am so
attached to this little pup…. Still working on the cat/ dog relationship,
but that will come with time I am sure.
He sure is
smart… he does really well on his leash when we take him for walks… everyone
who sees him thinks he is just adorable… and I totally agree with them.
Hope things
are good with you and your family, I really enjoyed meeting you all, you are
a very nice family… and I feel blessed to know you all.
I am glad I
found you and my new best friend…….. take care and I will talk to you soon.
Jackie H.
UPDATE - February 17, 09

I have to tell you that I just love your dogs. I tell everyone
that sees Charlie and compliments me on him all about you.
And I also have to tell you that
all kinds of people tell me how beautiful he is.
I just love labs. They are the best dogs! I
am super happy with my Charlie, he is so smart and such a great
best friend, I love him soooo much! In April when he turns 1 I
am going to enroll him in Agility class.
Jackie H.

Erin G. and Dusty, Austin, TX
He is the
most laid-back puppy I've ever met. He's so smart that he's pretty much
caught on to all of the rules of the house, and has learned some commands.
(he's not even 3 months old yet!)
Whenever we go out walking, everybody has
to meet him because he's such a beautiful pup. He gets along great with
other dogs and children. I love that he is a cuddler, because my other lab
never really was.
He's already
been swimming a couple of times and is definitely a water dog.
